The far left is my view from my dorm. The top right is my roomie, Melissa's, side of the room (and her). Then you see my side/desk. Then it's our little sink area. And the last one is our room from the door. Notice you can't see Melissa's side. Haha.

ANYWAY i went to math this morning at nine. easily the easiest class i'll be taking. its college algebra. cause i hated precalc and just calc in general. so its literally all review for me all semester. but whatever, it takes care of a general and i know i'll do well. it just felt like a HS class. probably cause my professor is used to teaching HS students so she teaches that way. at noon i have choir which im excited for cause its something im used to, you know? its harder than i thought to make friends here. i mean ive been hanging out with a lot of different people but not enough to exchange cell numbers or facebooks. its nice to see familiar faces sometimes though, too. ive seen shannon helgemoe, kelsey ann, lexi, andy bungert (insert heather puking here ;] ), and brian. notice i said seen and not hung out with. although it is nice to see those people around campus im trying to make new friends and stuff too. which like i said im having more difficulty with than i thought. but i know it takes time. im not worried yet. some advice to you lovely ladies, dont hang out with your roomie(s) all the time, eventually you will get sick of her (them). it hasnt quite happened to me yet, but i can see how it would easily happen. i kinda really like living on my own. all except that i miss all the friendships from home a lot. i went to church last night (on campus, in the student union... weird) and for some reason that made me more homesick than anything else. i believe i actually had tears in my eyes a couple times. i dont really know why except that i kept remembering going with my dad and brother and then i remembered how much i missed them and stuff. but other than that hour last night, i really havent had issues of homesickness or anything. which is good. oh, did i mention i live on the sixth floor? it SUCKS. walking up and down the stairs everyday. sometimes i take the elevator up. but people look at you funny if you take it when you live on the "lower" half. lucky me. (theres 12 floors). but i just keep telling myself that its good excercise and such. my bed is surprisingly more comfortable than i thought it would be. which is always a plus. remember i told you my mom and dad met here during my moms welcome week? yeahhh i didnt meet my future husband during welcome week. haha but thats okay ive got plenty of time. im still trying to decide if im coming home for labor day. melissa is leaving so i dont know if i neccesarily want the room to myself yet or not. probably. we have the click clack from my basement in our dorm so you are all invited and welcome to come visit anytime you want. : ) im not sure if any of you noticed my status the other day, but all my classes are all the way across campus for me. literally. im taking 5 classes. 4 of them are in the farthest possible building from my dorm. polar oppisites of campus. and the 5th is the second farthest away. again, im telling myself its good for me. but at the same time, winter is gonna be hell in snow. ick. but for now i'll enjoy it. my walk to and from class this morning was actually pretty busy. i was surprised how many people i saw. i suppose i probably shouldntve been but i was. im not gonna lie, when i picked up my books and when i use my mavcard, i feel prett darn cool. anyway like i said, ive got quite a walk to my classes and so i should be leaving soonish. i love you and miss you all. i promise next week my post wont be all dorm and class talk. : )
like i commented on previous posts, of course i'll have a quote for you all:
.: Being afraid isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes you need that trembling feeling to remind you how exciting it is to be doing something new. :.
BONUS second quote for free!
.: You are where you are because that's where you need to be. :.
